Midnight Mass and Christmas services in Prague

Midnight Mass in Prague is not always at midnight. Many churches hold theirs in the early evening of 24 December for families with children, while the cathedral and the larger churches keep a later hour. Christmas Day, St Stephen's Day and New Year have their own times as well.

The Christmas schedule has not been published yet — parishes usually announce it during Advent. Below is the little that has been announced so far; Midnight Mass and the other Christmas services are not among it yet. The page updates itself as the times arrive.

• 16:30 — Holy Mass — Basilica of Sts Peter and Paul at Vyšehrad (Mše svatá na poděkování Bohu za uplynulý rok, s prosbami o Boží pomoc do nového roku)

Midnight Mass fills up, especially at the Týn Church, St Nicholas and the cathedral. Come early; attending is free.
